I wish I could have been there as well but 6 or 7 hours sitting outside in these temperatures is too much for me. I’m only 3 miles away but enjoying YouTube coverage. Alternating between the sun lounger in the garden and the comfy chair indoors.
Next Tuesday and Thursday they are playing Essex and Leicestershire at Scarborough. They always seem to be at home.
Last year at North Marine Road for the CC game was very hot, in the sun all day. I had to keep going to the bar to get some shade.....and a pint.....
I’m there this year on the Saturday of the Sussex game ( for a few hours ). It’s our wedding anniversary so where else should I take her ? It’s a proper cricket venue
The right decision and glad it's finally been confirmed as we knew it was happening. His legacy will be giving Finlay Bean his debut and nothing else. We've won nothing from three years of three competitions. Granted we had a points deduction in the CC but he still had a decent chance to win 8 trophies and didn't come close in any. Nowhere near good enough for a county of our size.
We need a coach who can bring the younger players on. Big changes no doubt with no DOC in place, Chief Exec rumoured to be going and probably Masood too. Silverwood has been mentioned along with Lehman, McGrath and Dizzy. I've just finished reading the 'war of the white roses' book about YCCC - seems rather apt. given the past 5 years turmoil.
I would like to see Masood stay, but he only signed a two year contract that's nearly up, so I suspect he's off. I hope they bring back Darren Lehman. For me the greatest Yorkshire player ever, not just overseas and he's had a successful coaching career including winning an IPL.
Let them off by giving them a century partnership for the 4th wicket when they only had 20 odd on the board.
You never know ! I only noticed recently that Brooke is capt of the Superchargers. It’s a good bit of experience as you’d expect him to captain England one day at either format
