Shackell is/was a show pony. Nowt commanding about him.

The boy Gardner at Wednesday, now he'd have been ideal.

Yet none of that is relevant to yesterdays game.

Wake up mate and attend matches. Cranie and Hassell plus Wiseman had a good game. In your opinion we have not replaced Shackell. How do you make your judgement because your 2+2 is coming out 5

I also couldn't make the game, and from what i've read and been told, and seen on highlights, centre half's who fall asleep far too easy have cost us once more. It happens far too often to Wiseman, Cranie and Foster for my liking. We must recruit a tall commanding centre half in the summer, it has to be the priority.

I also think we don't take enough chances either, reflected in the fact that we have 20 different goalscorers this season, and only 2 of them have scored more than 6 goals, and one of them is playing for Bolton now.

Franco Baresi was 5ft 11. One of the best ever.

Yer know............I was trawling through the posts waiting for someone to name Baresi

I knew he would be mentioned...........thats why I posted earlier about an ENGLISH type of centre forward

In my opinion Baresi would not have coped week in week out with tactics that involved hoofing the ball into the middle for modern day English style brick s**t house centre forwards.
    Example.........Baresi v Carrol
