RE: From what I heard at the end of the day you get people like him in every team, our midfield would have to be considered at least formidable if we had him in it still, especially with the new recruits....except we don't have him and have a bit of a problem on the left side, sure you can play howard there but you lose a lot from the centre by putting him there....sorry i know this point has been argued a lot on here
RE: Not aimed at you Whether he was one of the boys is irrelevant - Ritchie has a reputation for getting on with his players, McIndoe has a reputation for being a mardy-arse and a bit of a misfit. Whoever was at fault for the "falling out" was the one who "caused" McIndoe to leave - I know where my money'd be...
Aye perhaps. Its an old festering wound I'ld rather not discuss but Had we had a stronger squad, not been struggling and McCindoe getting a regular spot he may have stayed for a while longer. Nevertheless as far as I am concerned his signing was not bad business.
Bristol City have made winger Michael McIndoe their third signing of the summer.</p> McIndoe has joined for an undisclosed fee from Wolves, and signs a three year contract at Ashton Gate.</p> The Scottish left-winger links up again with Gary Johnson, who he played under at Yeovil between 2001 and 2003.</p> McIndoe only joined Wolves on a permanent basis in January 2007, having spent two months on loan at Molineux from Barnsley, and played a big part in their run to the playoff semi-finals, where they lost to local rivals West Brom.</p> Speaking to the City official website, McIndoe outlined his reasons for making the switch.</p> "Firstly Bristol City have shown ambition and secondly I'm back with the manager who I've worked with before.</p> "After speaking to Gary it didn't take me ten minutes to decide I wanted to come here. It should be an exciting season for everybody."</p> McIndoe follows Stephen Henderson and Ivan Sproule in signing on at Ashton Gate this summer.</p>
RE: Aye I agree there, at least from the point of view of him playing for us for five months at least - his contribution was more than noted at the time. Regarding a festering wound, f**k him - them that don't wanna play, don't wanna play...
I find his switch absolutely amazing............ I simply cannot get my head around it..............</p> Whatever you think of him, Bristol City have signed one hell of a player.</p> I still wish we had him, but then again he is unreliable and untrustworthy and jumps ship to fuel his now fading ambitions.</p> He is fast becoming a player with a poor reputaion off the pitch and because of this, orher clubs will look twice at him before considering signing him.</p> I would love to know why Macca got rid of him so quickly, as apparently, he was a fan' favourite down in the West Midlands!</p> He may end up becoming a victim of his own greed and misplaced ambition. </p>
If I remember rightly when the whole saga took place, Ritchie got the sack on Tuesday and McIndoe left on the wednesday after hearing Wolves were interested. Ritchie leaving made his mind up, I think anyway! It was a long time ago
From Edinburgh Born & raised there as far as I'm aware. My brother knows some people who he went to school with.
He's an oddball Remember talking to Hecky about him the day he left Oakwell. Apparently he's not a nice person and is only interested in talking about how great he is. He didn't say it, but he seems to be a bit of a k~~bhead and a negative influence in the dressing room.
