Re: Y'all ready for this? The Hacienda was a great night out in the early 90's. The Gallery in Leeds was another early leader in the dance music, rave culture. Love to Be in Sheffield another I remember fondly. Cream in Liverpool (is it still there?), Angels in Burnley, Golden in Stoke, cracking nights out. I do remember one in Barnsley (I don't and have never lived there so memory is a bit hazy) called Propoganda, can't remember much of where it was as I got off a bus at the door and back on to a bus to come home, off my face.
Re: Y'all ready for this? I'm surprised you remember anything from that era. I dont think your memory being hazy had much to do with where you lived
Re: Y'all ready for this? That reminds me of working night shift when it was either that or jobfinder on TV when going for a break. I preferred going when jobfinder was on!
B.e.a.utiful If you were on form (as I was) you could slip seamlessly from an outdoor rave getting shot at by the landowner to black slip on shoes and a bit of Hi NRG groping. Tear/eye interface.
According to her Twitter she was at West Meadows Primary in Hoyland, but she thought she was in Bolton.
At one time I'd have crawled across a field of broken glass to use her **** for toothpaste. Too much acid.
Re: Y'all ready for this? It was even better in the mid-80's, before the drugs thing got out of hand. Went pretty much three nights a week from '84 on. By New Year's 1987, there were folk openly waving handguns around in there, which was the last time I ever stepped in the place. Assuming they cleaned it up a bit before Madchester kicked in?
