I'm clamouring, I would love him to come here but he will be managing a bigger club with a bigger fan base than us.

No money but a wage bill much more than ours.

The likes of Cole Skuse? A player with over 300 appearances at that level? I wish we’d had a couple of ‘the likes’ in our squad this season.

Totally agree. It’s what should have happened when Hecky left instead of the suicidal Morais appointment. I have no doubt we would have stayed up had he been put in charge at that stage.
I grew up watching Big Mick play for us and believe his steel and determination is exactly what we need right now. Not to mention his years of managerial experience and legend status at the club.
I’d support any campaign designed to secure his appointment. Get it done and soon so we can look forward to the new season with excitement/expectation and put behind us the utter shambles of mismanagement that has just come to pass.

Yes to mick! he's never had a big budget so he'd fit in nicely. He knows a bargain, lots of experience and would get fans like me out of the woodwork and right behind him. I can't see anyone else who I'd like to see here more.

I'd love to see Mick as manager, but I think he'd have to be installed as a proper manager rather than a Head Coach in the current model. Assuming there's any chance of getting him (which is debatable) it's not going to be in a system where he's got little to no influence over incoming transfers.

Personally, I'm all for tearing up the that system anyway, as it's now resulted in 3 consecutive transfer windows which failed to deliver adequate resources for what we required at the time. Let the manager work within a framework that the club specifies by all means (e.g. no more than 2 players over 30 in the squad, no contracts over 12 months to >30 year olds, etc) but let him identify which players he wants to fit within the system he wants to play.

I've been wondering where else he might end up. If Celtic lose Rodgers to Arsenal then they might be a good shout. Leeds? Would he go to Dem Blades if Wilder slings his hook?

An average job...every chairman he's worked for says he's left them in a better position financially on the budget he's been given to work with...
His last job at Ipswich the chairman plans were followed to the letter. Stabilising the club both on and off the field..surely that's what we want at Oakwell...stability it goes a long way in my book .... big Mick all the way......come on hooem Macca thi tee'ers ont table ready to eight
