RE: yeah lets get another oddjob, can't get my breath nt Yeah and let's go back into administration and be on the verge of League 2, with no players, no chance of signing anybody and having to sell anyone we have that is worth a thing
Great idea that
We won't go down just because we haven't signed Mifsud. Get a grip ffs

RE: Thrashed every week? Spot on
WHy should Cryne chuck about thousands and thousands and thousands of his own money because some fans say he should?
He's a businessman, he's made money from financial decisions, hence why he's worth so much. I trust him, and the judgement of the others, to look after the future of the club and ensure we still have a club for years to come

We signed Boggy, made bids for Ward and Mifsud and Davey has spoke to numerous agents and clubs..... How is that not ambition??? We are probably the most sensible club in this transfer market (apart from the clubs who haven't signed anyone)
RE: I bet Macken and Rigters are on a fair whack I would imagine Blackburn are picking up some of Rigters bill. We may have insurance against Hume's injury. Macken I have no idea. Think there was some figures published where we had one of the lowest wage bills in the division. Still just because Macken and Hume are on a fair wahck then that's no need to sling a fair whack at someone else. Let's face it none of us know. We don't know the budget or the wage structure and nor should we.
RE: Thrashed every week? Donny were pathetic a couple of months ago, now they are on a run, just like we are on a bad run. Im sure we'll have a good spell before the end of season
He ONLY plays for Coventry tho !!! Look at there league position. http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=132576&mid=881820#M881820 PROGRESS ?!?!?! Your having a laugh.
or in other words, we signed a player no one else wanted and couldn't agree terms with players other clubs were interested in. so we are ok to sign players as long as no one else wants em ffs
aye thats a lovely warm feeling and we can all reminisce of the good all days as we watch the likes of Barrow, Woking, Kettering or Grays athletic give us a tonking in the non leagues... how wonderul it will be, all homely like and cosy
RE: or in other words, we signed a player no one else wanted How do u know everyone knew about Bogdanovic?
I trust Cryne to make that call Misfud is not a guarrantee of staying up. It has to be balanced out. Of course i want us to stay up and i believe we will do. We've had a bad run of results. but we will go on another run of results. That will be helped by signing a new striker. What won't help is fracturing our wage structure. the consequneces go far beyond the immediate. Suddenly all the players who agreed to the old wage strucutre will demand higher wages or to leave the club.
point is Simo we cannot even get in lesser players so just what exactly does it tell you about us...Jamie Ward FFS we are not at the races at all.
RE: I bet Macken and Rigters are on a fair whack I thiink financially our wage bill has rocketed since our return to the Championship and that we are heading for **** creek with Mr Cryne as the only paddle.
RE: I bet Macken and Rigters are on a fair whack I wasn't try to make the point that we should meet Mifsud's wage demands. It's just that Thrappo said we wouldn't be paying our current strikers much and I believe we are. Well, 2 of them anyway.
But thats not the alternative The alternative is we sign someone we can afford and either stop up or possibley go down a League. The options for breaking the wage structure are the same but with risk of financial meltdown and upsetting the whole business model of the club
RE: point is Simo Being unable to get in even "lesser players" tell you that we are a relatively poorly supported Chamionship team, that is to say a lesser club, that does not particularly deserve to attract better than lesser players. Any better than lesser players eventually end up leaving.
