was oddjob a waste of money? don't get me wrong, I think he's never going to be a footballer. BUT, how much did that goal against chelsea make for the club? has that outweighed the cost of his transfer and wages?
RE: was oddjob a waste of money? No!!! How much did that miss in the semi cost us?? A day out at the final, a cup, a place in Europe?? Ifs and buts Waste of cash end of!!!
RE: was oddjob a waste of money? Your spot on for me. He won us the game away at Watford too which turned out to be an important 3 points to help avoid relagation! 200k decent investment as daft as it sounds. Personally i hope he stays until the summer! He offers something different from the bench to throw on in the last 10 minutes. Say were hanging onto a 1-0 lead and Macken/Cureton are knackered. (which they are always going to be) You know Odejayi's guna be a tired defenders nightmaire....and our own nightmaire! But he'll do a job late on! He wont sell him anyhow.
RE: was oddjob a waste of money? Thats the obvious reply - So predictable. That wouldn't have been the winning goal you know!?!?!?!
Who is to say that nobody els ewould have got lucky like he did against chelsea 5 goals in almost 70 appearences is simply not good enough
he was immense against Chelsea. destroyed two of the better centrehalfs in the country. His finest hour.
Who cares if someone else got lucky against chelsea???? They didn't, Odejayi did. End of. Never said it was. It's horrendous, 5 goals in almost 70 appearances is simply not good enough. It wasn't my point.
I'm not bitter at all mate, I'm just saying it as it is .......... ......... they say whatever fits at the time, they always have. Different subject matter but classic example last season..... Simon Davey after we were drawn against Liverpool ............. "We won't let the cup run interfere with our league form, that's our bread & butter" Said same after we beat Liverpool, and after we beat Chelsea. Then when we almost got relegated, the excuse was .. "the cup run caused us to take our eye off the league games!"
RE: I'm a bit confused by his destroying them both Whats shots on goal got to do with that? (doh) Are you for real? Stick to playing FIFA.
I don't like FIFA or own it. Well I was thinking if he destroyed them so much then presumably he must have had a few shots on goal right? ie if he beat the defenders then as a striker he had a shot or something? Or did he set loads of chances up for other players? I don't remember him doing either apart from one header at the end (which thankfully was a good one)
were beginning to sound like sheff utd, we werent good enough to beat cardiff end of. odejayi had a chance but no way was he the reason we lost that match.
"We are disappointed to see Miguel leave the club" "Sometimes you have to do things which are in the interest of the player and he needs to be back with his family" said Simon handing him his boarding pass.
