He's no worse than Steele, but surely Steele has got to get the nod on Tuesday - Flicker has made his point. By all means keep Mike as backup as long as it isn't too expensive for the club.

I'm a big Luke Steele fan so wouldn't have dropped him in the first place. To be fair Pollitt has done OK and made a couple of decent stops at the weekend. And in all honesty for the both of them, playing behind Mvoto would give Buffon a headache.

Pollitt brings a lot of professionalism to the Club and I wouldn't be surprised if Steele gets back in first XI quite soon.

I don't think there is a lot between them.....but at least in Pollitt we have someone who will push Steele in training and not throw his toys out of the pram if Steele gets the nod ahead of him. I would view Pollitt as a coach/mentor as well as a keeper.

no not really! i dont no why all the hype about steele, i really cant see it. pollitt is quality and is like i said twice the keeper steele is. a few reds fans are obsessed with steele and its embarresing at times how much fans defend him. but hey ho its all about oppinions i suppose. after 1 game your judging pollitt and a game in which he kept it at a decent score for us, i just dont understand your post!

A game where he kept it at a decent score? He hardly made a save. Everything either went in, hit the post, hit the bar or was cleared off the line by our defence. I remember three saves: one that he pushed straight in to the path of the onrushing striker for him to tap home, one that hit him in the midriff second half when he'd fallen asleep, when he was very lucky to see it bounce wide and one actual proper save.

I've outlined my thoughts in two or three posts already, so won't be doing it again in some vain hope you'll this time understand.

As you say, it's all about opinions.

I reckon Luke Steele will return tomorrow night.

I think he is pretty solid but Luke is a better shot stopper and more spectacular. You have to remember that Flicker brought Pollitt due to Luke's loss of form/confidence. I think when Luke is back on top form he is the better option but I'm glad Flicker brought Pollitt in when he did.

Well they had 8 shots on target. Three of those went in the net leaving just 5 on target. Jay has just outlined 3 of those saves so that leaves only 2 more. And i'm pretty sure that at least one of those two were cleared off the line by a defender
