Absolutely. If you believe in the SNP's policies you should definitely vote for them. But The Sun wasn't targeting people like you. Your mind is made up, you like what that political party is all about and it doesn't matter what a newspaper says, it's not going to change your mind. Same for thousands of other Scotts. But there are also a significant number who haven't made up their mind. I'm not talking about idiots who are simply swayed by a paper like The Sun. Most people aren't like that. But everything we hear and read has some influence. For the majority of these people the choice is simple: Labour or The SNP. The two parties actually have a lot of common ground, both being left of centre. A lot of people will end up voting for the SNP even if they are more politically in tune with the Labour party, because they feel Labour has let people down in the past. What I'd say to those people is that Ed Miliband is not Tony Blair. He may not be as slcik, but he's a better man. There is a very real risk that a protest vote against Labour and for the SNP could leave us with a Tory government. If someone believes in the SNP, they should vote for them. If someone believes in Labour but intend to vote SNP as a protest to what Labour have done in the past, I hope they reconsider and vote for Labour.

If Labour do win, they will need the SNP to get policies through parliament. That doesn't require a deal or coalition, just two left of centre parties voting on issuing they believe in. I have absolutely no problem with that arrangement at all.

The left ,be it labour ,SNP green or whatever will not bring anything into fruition in opposition so will be able to promise the earth with no accountability of justification.
The only opposition to the Tories is a labour govt whether people in the green party, SNP, socialist democrats agree or not.
I have voted labour all my life and have never agreed with everyone of their policies especially new labour but if I thought by voting any of the other parties would keep out the Tories as voting labour would not achieve this I would vote them in a heartbeat and wouldn't feel I had betrayed my socialist values.
Anyone but the Tories is my view.

I don't think you actually read my post or at least got past 'a vote for SNP is a vote for the Tories' .
