Anyone know who that gimp 'Dr Barnardo' is on the comments section below the article?? Getting a right titty-lip on about us complaining - says we're 'embarassing us Tykes'. What a fcukin' tool.
the funny thing about the article is the picture completely contradicts what it says, you can see hundreds of millwall fans at the black carpet trying to get to the barnsley fans that are a long way from the carpet i wonder how many people noticed this?
good reply but feel nobody outside the barnsley/millwall fraternity will read the blokes article therefore it will pass like all the other incidents i was in that bit and that chairman bloke as spouted a complete load of ****** with the exception of the stewarding, it was woeful up to the point of it was kicking off when the heavy mob came in, it'd been brewing a while. let it go, we won ;-)
The authorities have a lot to answer for but I fear a large wad of their responsibility will go unanswered . The fact tickets were sold in such close proximity given yhe Millwall supporters were already being monitored this season, The fact ticket touts were operating and fairly trouble free The FL and FA once again deflecting their share of the blame which is significant IMO
I've got a small piece of video on my phone of Millwall fans running round from the other side of the ground to get involved in the fighting if it's any use to anyone. It's not great quality being from the other side of the ground but it's clear that some fans are certainly not reacting to bottles being thrown at them to get involved in the trouble.
The supporter's club bloke uses the word 'aggro' when discussing trouble this season - the sort of vocabulary used by a person who revels in the culture of it rather than a responsible person out to denounce it. He also says 'We don't want anyone coming to The Den and getting arrested.' Erm... surely that should be 'We don't want anyone coming to The Den and engaging in violent or threatening behaviour'. But naah, them tuff Laandaan boys gotta 'ave their 'ostile atmosphere and a bitta aggro. That's acceptable and it's the police's job to stop it from boiling over. That's the impression they're giving.
Hes trying and in this case failing somewhat to uphold that siege mentality that surrounds the club. Fair play to him defending his own. Can never really knock someone for that but there are occassions where a step back needs to be taken and hands held up snd just say yeah we ****ed up.
Not fair play when you are lying to pretend something didnt happen when it really did If it had been our fans do you think the ST would behave the same way? I dont - we would be condemming the morons responsible not sticking our heads in the sand
no. not fair play at all. they should be coming out and condemning these people in the strongest possible terms. not backing them to the hilt and blaming everyone else.
