RE: Ha ha ha ha ha ha..... Ahh! The memories are flooding back. I was regaling the lads at work about that particular day no less than two weeks ago :$
RE: remember us in the hudds end First time I went there it was the 1-0 defeat after our long unbeaten run. We went on the train and met up with the special and got escorted to the ground. There must have been 8000 reds fans there that day.
Tell them you're Dicky Bird or Windy, people who aren't scared to show their feelings, you know, Girlymen, might work !
Cowshed End......... What a night that was at Huddersfield. We lost 1-0 and i think they missed two penalties (?) yet we played them off the park. It was brilliant to be in their end in such large numbers. A few days later we won 1-0 at Portsmouth and that fixture was a bit lively too
RE: Ha ha ha ha ha ha..... It only a week or so ago you were asking me about lads from Hemsworth and I didnt have a clue who you were. (doh) Im still in touch with Stew Wraith and a few of the other lads. Cuz and Bully etc still go but the footy team disbanded yrs ago. Are you still doing groundworks mate?
didnt go to Portsmouth it was my birthday so went home (living in leeds at the time), we then beat grimsby on the tues to clinch promotion, those were the days, remeber northampton on a thursday night, won 1-0
RE: Ha ha ha ha ha ha..... Small world isn't it mate? From the groundworks i took up the hod, then bricklaying, and now i've got my own company on the go. Employing 3 blokes at the moment and living in Bromley.
Them were the days when you could take a pellet gun to the match and nobody minded Or nick snooker balls off the table before the match and start a game a bit like head tennis inside the ground You throw it and see who heads it Them were the days !!!
RE: Ha ha ha ha ha ha..... Stew Ill catch up with you later mate. Ill send you a PM when i get chance and we can catch up. Take care mate!
are you for real a "man" who supports a team where half the crowd cried rivers of tears when they got fairly relegated last season, making fun of someone who cried remembering his friend who tragically died at a young age in a plane crash
