They see all the fights on the ice so they get that Rugby is the same they see fighting from players so fans just enjoy
Re: Rotherham not totally blameless in this,, Same in Rugby - went to watch Wasps v Munster a few years ago - mixed fans - some were drinking and no trouble
Re: Rotherham not totally blameless in this,, I know this was a while ago but how vile are they? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4218912/Millwall-fan-banned-for-10-years.html
Re: Rotherham not totally blameless in this,, Was it really as bad as people are making out? Not condoning the actions, but after watching the video from the facebook link above, it just looks like a load of finger pointing and gesturing. Climbed over some netting and had a bit of a push with the stewards. Bit strange that the Rotherham fans goading were surrounded by kids, all with their mobiles in their hands. They can't have been that fearful for their safety. Also saw a drink fly towards the Millwall fans from the Rotherham fans. That guy (voice) on the video needs to have a word with himself. Embarrassing.
What's actually going on? The "shocking" pictures and the video on the Mirror website show a load of blokes behind a police line looking angry and pissed off. (Unless there's summat else I'm just not seeing. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case, I think my eyes are painted on.) I've been with a load of blokes behind a police line looking angry and pissed off a few times over the years. It's usually when someone has chucked summat at us. Not sure that makes me a hooligan. During such situations I've come to the conclusion that if there's anything that makes a group of angry pissed off blokes even angrier and more pissed off it's when the police threaten to hit them with batons for being angry and pissed off that someone has thrown summat at them. Things tend to get a bit lairy when that happens. Maybe it's a lot worse than that. Maybe nowt was thrown at the Millwall fans, I'm just hypothesising about that after my own experiences of being in away ends. And I don't particularly want to stick up for Millwall fans, considering their reputation, but their reputation might be the problem here, rather than what they were actually doing.
