100%, ring fence the fund , pay out members, and invest in the communities that suffered through the demise of the industry. That would be fair .
It wouldn't in effect Helen imo. The surviving members and their spouses (if widowed) would get automatic increases dealt out by the actuaries. Those long gone I'm not so sure what would happen, if anything.
