    100%, ring fence the fund , pay out members, and invest in the communities that suffered through the demise of the industry.
    That would be fair .

    It wouldn't in effect Helen imo. The surviving members and their spouses (if widowed) would get automatic increases dealt out by the actuaries. Those long gone I'm not so sure what would happen, if anything.

    Mine goes up by roughly 4% per annum.
    Bit different to the huge surplus that is took by the govt.

    A lot depends on if you chose to take the lump sum & a smaller monthly pension. I suspect most took the lump sum option.

    Exactly...Best thing to happen will be the hard working Labour supporter see that Labour ain't what they were.
