    Fair enough, RR.

    Here's another conundrum. When Mowatt goes in for that challenge (dignifying his lunge with that term) - is the ball already dead? (We were awarded a free kick) Does this make any difference? If it doesn't, could players not be yellow or red-carded for the jostling that goes on before a corner is taken? (They never are) I don't know the answers to these questions.

    I also thought the free kick before the second goal was harsh, but you have to be able to defend set pieces. It was that inability rather than the incompetence of the referee that cost us.

    A free kick had already been given, but I do not think that effects serious foul play, otherwise the players could kick and punch one another at will whilst the ball is dead with no consequences.
