Minutes applause for people who have died

Sorry to drag this one up again but it annoyed me yesterday. Very little applause around us then some chap shouting 'come on!! Come on!!' and trying to make folk clap.

It was uncomfortable, stilted and forced.

I won't speak ill of the dead, mental illness (as that is what it appears to be) is no cause for flippant comment, but people need to let others make their choice, not force one.
