    People are 'hangers on' when .....

    .... they only turn up when the going is good, and most of them probably moan on this board. As for your last point, try this as a possible alternative ..... "better players, higher wages, bigger crowds BUT only if we are winning, same crowds if we aren't ... costs exceed income ... club out of business .... us watching Worsbrough Bridge or Frickley or Sky Sports or moaning on this board with the rest of the hangers on"

    Because we are playing top entertaining football this season - after all, this is the business we are in.

    I take it that I am one of the few who like to come away from Oakwell knowing that all the players have given 100%. Sometimes in the past, we have sufferered 90 mins without a shot on goal. As long as everyone at the club wears their shirt with pride - then so will I.

    Only joshing! Good point and i'm in full agreement! Like i've said before; there's no point spending money we haven't got, and there's no point going into a situation like the grim receiver! Even when we were struggling along when i was a sniff of a lad at least we prided ourselves in the knowledge of the club's business accumen.... we had to balance the books to survive!
