Are you trying to say that 5 clubs should be relegated from the league,

i.e. the three with points deductions AND the two that finish bottom who havent offended UNLESS any of the three clubs with points deductions can finish above two other none rule breaking clubs?

That's bonkers enough, but I really can't get mi head round what you are trying to say otherwise.

    Eh?

Luton's offences were deemed worthy of a 30 point deduction, it was 20 points for going into admin I think and 10 for some discrepency with agents. So they were standard punishments for their offences.
Then Bournemouth and Rotherham adjudged to have commited offences that are worthy of a 17 point deduction - so they get those.
They are "stand alone" figures - it wasn't a case of saying "everyone should have a 30 point start on Luton"

Let's put it that if you commit a driving offence that carries with it a 6 point penalty, then your neighbour is caught speeding and gets 3 points - they don't then put yours up to 9 points.

    RE: Eh?

In simple terms, one of the 3 teams with points deductions is GUARANTEED to stay up next season. That's the injustice in as simple terms as I can express.

It's very good of you to keep bringing this back to the top

I'm sure it will cheer up everyone who reads it.

I think you misunderstand what points deductions are for

They aren't there to instantly relegate teams, they are there to make a team finish x points behind where they would have done. Maybe rotherham would have pushed for a promotion spot but instead will have to settle for mid table while the other two get relegated. Would you not then say that the points deductions have done their job?

RE: I think you misunderstand what points deductions are for

So then, if all 24 teams commit the same offence and are deducted 17 points, the deduction effectively makes no diffrence. Thus, you might as well not deduct the points, so where is the punishment?

The pleasure is all mine. Of course, no one is forcing you to read it or contribute to it presumably.

Hypothetically, if an alien landed on the pitch do you think it would be fair to book him?

If all teams commited the same offence then the punishment might not be points possibly?

They don't deduct points in order to relegate teams though

    I wasn't being sarcastic

I think you're doing an excellent service. It's pure comedy gold.
