I have, several times. It's a soul-less place with no sense of history or itself. It's football club reflects the it's identity entirely. I can only speak as I find.
Oh aye, course it was. Never really realised. Didn't they have a year their first before the rebranding... Then we were first on after the rebranding I think...
Great memories of that day, we had a goal ruled out before scoring I think. Strangest ground I'd been to at that point but I remember our fans being brilliant.
Wasnt that Sir Bobby's frst game? It was in the Hockey stadium and very hot - and I think we played OK - which considering Hart was our manager was a rarity
No mate, just personally visiting places like Middlesborough, Rotherham, Darlington etc. All beyond **** holes. It's about time folk showed a bit of pride in their town rather than slamming it every time they can. Maybe you spending a few quid in there might be a start?
actually, there's plenty of options to spend a few quid. biggest poundshop : person ratio in western europe
Like plenty of other towns where their most intelligent and affluent residents spend their money out of town or simply up sticks and leave the area.
Agree with you there dyson once went to Stockton with rising sun before Hartlepool game what a depressing place it was too as you say middlesborough was nearly as bad. Barnsley is not a quarter as bad as some of these places some just moan for the sake of it but lose all credibility on this one.
catch 22 mate. people work hard to gain intelligence and affluence. can't blame them for wanting to enjoy it in nice surroundings
Spend mine n meadow hall or online. Barnsley lacks the choices for the things I want to purchase. Can't even buy a decent pair of addidas.
Wtf can't compare Barnsley to meadowhall. Most towns and cities are losing out to those places even Sheffield itself
Sheffield city centre though remains fairly busy. Wakefield have just built up a new shopping part of the city and advertising the smoke out of it. Donny has the frenchgate.... Barnsley has..... Planning permission for a halo.
Since Trinity Walk has opened in Wakefield The Ridings Centre has slumped to new depths. Gangs of Eastern Europeans hanging around for hours on end and white trash young girls swinging around their necks. They are rude and menacing
