ID mobile are cheap but no idea on if they're any good in rural areas. Always worked wherever I've been though.
Forgot if you have sky you can watch all there sport without using data like I said good do all in all.
the customer service angle always puzzles me on this. over the last 20 years I've been with most of the big providers. I think I can probably count on one hand how many times I've needed to contact customer services. 3 were absolute $hite though
Been with Virgin years allegedly best network coverage ! It’s not can’t get signal at in-laws in High Green that’s 5G too, customer service appalling
I was with EE for years also. Took tge opportunity to get unlimited mobile internet with Vodafone for less than i was paying. Absolute shambles, went from perfect internet to **** all coverage even when it says i have signal
Vodafone are not too bad, not had too many issues personal contract wise. If you dont mind buying a phone outright, check out VOXI which is owned by Vodafone. They do super cheap sim only deals. Technically its a pay and go type thing but all managed online and can pay monthly via paypal etc. I pay a tenner a month via paypal and get 12GB data and unlimited texts etc. All Social media apps dont use up your data either (Facebook, Twitter etc.) so I technically have pretty much unlimited data for a tenner as I mainly use social media apps.
Only asking cos I may have misunderstood but if you live in a rural area when using a mobile surely you can use WiFi calling via your home network? Obviously though if you spend a lot of time in the immediate vicinity and make / receive lots of calls then cellular signal strength is important.
Virgin are in the process of changing carrier from EE to Vodafone. We found this out when we lost all signal on the two VM phones in the house, as Vodafone don't cover our area particularly well. They're expected to change again in a few years to O2, as they're now in partnership. We switched to Plusnet, who use the EE network.
I’m with 3 and had no issues. Last time my upgrade was due, I found a deal online by 3, contacted them and they actually beat it and I stayed with them.
Surprised no-one has mentioned Smarty who were named "best new network" a couple of years ago, they use (and are owned by) 3. ID Mobile also use 3 and are pretty good too, customer service is not the best though. There's also Lebara who use Vodafone but I couldn't get a good signal with them, signal may be better in your area.
I’ve been with Vodafone for years and no complaints. Much cheaper if you buy the phone elsewhere and just go sim only though
I'm with EE and have been since I got my first brick. I initially went with EE due to the coverage across north yorkshire and that still applies. Visitors tend to struggle for reception if they aren't on EE/BT That said, my emergency phone is on a giff gaff SIM only and that works fine too. I could be wrong but I think giff gaff piggy backs off EE/BT too
