Did McGeehan go to the game? For what it’s worth Moncur played well we were noticeably poorer when Potts had to go off. No complaints from me for any of the Starting 11. The subs didn’t really work this time for some reason

But that’s something completely different. You’ve just suggested that people criticising players haven’t watched us since the play off final, that makes no sense especially when the players mentioned joined after the play off final.

I don’t get how you’ve established that the people criticising don’t go to the games.

McGeehan’s not played well this season, I think almost everyone would agree on that, it’s not slating him it’s just been honest. It’s a concern when he’s probably going to start next Saturday.

A forums for discussing our players & performances, if after every win we have to pretend every players been brilliant or after a defeat every players been **** what’s the point in a forum?

Moncur was ok on Saturday, nothing special but the facts are he’s been here over 2 years, can’t do 90 minutes well & in my opinion & I think most would agree he hasn’t really done a lot in that time so he’s bound to get some stick.

Others who’ve took stick have turned it around in lesser time.

Thiam’s shifted the weight & showing more in his second season, Mowatt’s coming good after 18 months, Potts has started really well in his second season etc, we’re still waiting on Moncur in his 3rd season to improve his fitness & performances.

He did an interview in the car with Barnsley player when he first joined us after getting relegated with Colchester & was laughing & joking about how bad his diet was & that he’d lived in a flat with Elliott Lee whilst at Colchester & lived off ready meals & beans on toast.

Over 2 years later he still can’t do 90 minutes well so what’s changed?

Anyway it’s up to him now, he’s in the last year of his deal, he needs to show something or he’ll end up gradually going down the leagues like another talented but with a questionable attitude player in Jacob Mellis has.

Having watched the game back RT - I concur and think that Moncur had a decent game, still not the finished article, but happy to be proved wrong.
I happily withdraw my opening feelings to this thread.
I just hope he pushes on to consistently produce decent performances which allow Daniel to use him in Midfield where he belongs.
Once Woodrow is in, there is no "floating" role available.

Moncur appears happier and more involved playing behind the forwards .
    He isn't a headless chicken type .
