I don't get this one at all. How can someone go from a key target and £500k signing, to out of favour and loaned back out without kicking a ball? Summat not right behind the scenes for me there..
I can only help but think it was something to do with Mansford. Just with them both coming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We have someone even better lined up, and Moncur will be fit for January with another 6 months experience to his name. Still with 2.5 years to develop into the player we have expectation he will. Perhaps.
I was under the impression Moncur was a striker when we were first linked with him, then when he signed he was an attacking midfielder, just behind the strikers, and now there is talk of him replacing Conor when he eventually leaves, so now that makes him a box to box midfielder! Quite clearly there is no place for him in this side, because we haven't worked out his strongest position yet, so a loan out wouldn't be a bad thing. Sent from my iPhone
A loan is definitely the right thing for him if he's not in the plans. I just don't get how we would go after a player as much as we did and shell out best part of half a million, on someone who hasn't even had a sniff of first team
The fee is irrelevant. It's just a number, look at Elaquim Mangala at Man City... £32,500,000 and sent out on loan to Valencia. Sometimes things just don't quite work out. That's not to say he won't return to us a better player, then everyone will be a winner, or perhaps the other club may want him and offer us the £500,000 we spent on him. Small change in footballing terms really.
Well what's the issue. We've taken a player, assessed him, decided that after all he didn't fit our system or way of play, and not lost any money. Doesn't seem like a huge problem to me. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
I never said there was an issue it,s you that said he had to come back ,and he doesn't,t if they buy him.
