Some very creatively skewed ones no doubt! Pinching a wage. The rest have been absolute ***** for a few games but I’d say they’ve tried, in a tragic inept sort of way. He’s just gone missing as though he’s above rolling his sleeves up and digging in. I can see why Hecky played him today. He knew the fans were turning on George, so gave him the start against a poor side, away from home so in theory less pressure. So that he could put a performance in and help get us the result we wanted. Backfired. I’d be amazed if he plays against Derby. Though he might as nobody is exactly clamouring for a start. Mallan has been mentioned but does any one of us have first hand opinion that he looks anything like ready? I expected a poor run at some point with these young players. I expected it to be earlier in the season though and the worry is that after twenty games they look like getting worse rather than the penny dropping. I’d persevere with most, Potts and Pearson frustrate the life out of me and I’m not sure they’d get in the majority of league one sides, but they have a go. In that same tragic, inept sort of way mainly - Potts looks good in very sparse periods, Pearson not so much. But I can’t blame them for not being very good, they do their best. But if I never saw George Moncur in a reds shirt again I’d not be too fussed. If he’s selected I’ll back him, I support all of the team, especially matchdays, and I’m not paid to pick it. But he wouldn’t be in my matchday 18. He has probably the most technical ability in the squad. And the heart of a gnat.
