I thought he did a decent job yesterday, had a couple of efforts on target in the first half. Biggest let down yesterday for me, and he wasn't the only one, was the final ball having done the hard work. Thought he was more effective when he dropped deeper in the last 30 minutes, and almost won the game for us with a great volley on the end of a Brown cross.

He'll play an important part in our season, we've seen already the positive changes thst Stendel makes during a game, and Moncur will be part of that whether he starts or comes off the bench.

you’re wasting your breath with some in here who’ve set their faces against him since he didn’t settle in to start with.

He must have had a decent game as there were no threads bashing him.

I'm one of his biggest critics, mainly because if I had the talent to be a professional footballer I'd work my balls off to make sure I could last for 90 minutes. He's had more chances than almost any player I can remember and still can't string two good full games together. People talk about the criticism he gets and I can't condone personal abuse on twitter etc but as far as on here is concerned I think Davies had far worse last season. Imagine if Davies had made a couldn't care less game-costing **** up like Moncur did to let Scowen in at QPR and then blow two sitters to draw/win it - Adam would have needed police protection!

I didn't comment on George on Saturday because, regardless of my personal predilection for individuals, as soon as they pull on a red shirt and step over the white line they get a clean slate and I judge them on what I see in that game. As such he gets a Meh-minus for the first half and a straight Meh for the second.

Clearly pacing himself to last more than his usual 20 minutes he was largely ineffectual and anonymous in the first half with one or two decent simple balls. He only had one of his circular roundabout runs and that took him from the edge of their box on the right to the halfway line on the left before he nearly lost it.

Second half I noted his crossing and corners where generally, floaty, too short or too long, with a couple of exceptions (but that's only the same as the rest of the team except Brown), he wasted a good chance when cutting in from the left and blazing high wide and handsome when there were at least two others better placed and hit a powder puff volley from an exquisite Brown cross that you'd have expected a player with his supposed talent to have been able to do better with.

However, after pacing himself in the first half he did manage to keep going, at his pace, for 80 odd minutes and was reasonably decent on the left when Cavare switched over there with him.

Much better utilised as someone to come on for the last 20 minutes as a broken field runner with no defensive responsibilities after Moore, Potts and Bradshaw (r.i.p.) have run the opposition ragged.

    All imho!
