There's a difference between being willing to fight for a place in the team and just expecting to play though isn't there, from the bits that have come out over the last few months it does appear that he didn't fancy himself against the competition he had.
Does anybody know how he did on loan at Peterbrough ? Did he do well and were they interested in making us an offer, or couldnt they wait to see the back of him!!
He started off very well, he scored 2 on his debut and then got 2 assists in the next 2 games. He played just behind the striker in the first 2 games but then got out into a more central midfield position. By the sounds they wanted him permanently but he wanted to come back and try and force his way in our side. I imagine Hecky told him he has an opportunity to get in as hourihane was going.
There it shows Darf, hes got the obvious qualities if hes allowed to do what hes best at. That doesnt mean Hecky should shift the whole team around just to suit one player of course, but it does show the potential he has and what a player we could actually see next season.
