    £2.2 million ****ing quid. It's like a transfer from the early 1990s. For the best young defender in England. The other night I had Five Live on and Scousers were on he phones saying they know that Stones is too good for Everton and that he's destined for European football, could go to Italy, Spain, etc etc

    I feel sick. Our board have been tucked up time and again on transfers but this is the ****ing star prize for me. Worst piece of business since we let David Hirst go to Wednesday on the cheap. Sickening,

    Flitcroft is being used as a scapegoat here. The board sold Stones for a quick buck. Anyone with any modicum of sense, never mind footballing sense, could see that Stones was going to be a class player. ******** Ben at it again!
