If we're signing Paul Mariner, can we get the rest of the Ipswich team from that era? Eric Gates, John Wark, Alan Brazil, Paul Cooper, Terry Butcher, Arnold Muhren, Franz Thyssen, George Burley, Kevin beattie, Russell Osman, Mick Mills. Reight team
Good spot It seems our Darren has a poorly Thumb according to the website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abductor_pollicis_longus_muscle
Big loss....But at least Bobby can come in at RB with Foster moving inside! Kozluck is only 1 yellow away from a 1 match ban though - this comes in 7 days after the game so he will be ok for at least the next 2 games & will be ok for the next 3 games if he avoids a yellow at Preston! Van Hommet may have to play left back for 1 game unless El Hamouir has a game at Left back! Anderson will be back at least a week on Saturday! I just don't like the thought of Leon in a 2 man centre midfield away at Preston! He was brilliant at Preston last season, but this was part of a 3 man centre midfield! I guess it depends on Disco's fitness as to what team we go with!
maybe not......... feet up and Rest Ice Compression Elevation
Resting may be the common sense approach, but it is one that is often ignored by competitive athletes.
This is unwise, since it does not take much to turn a grade one strain into a grade two, or a grade two strain into a grade three.
As a general rule, grade one hamstring strains should be rested from sporting activity for about 3 weeks and grade two injuries for about 4 to 6 weeks.
Grade I
With a grade one hamstring strain the signs may not be present until after the activity is over. There may be a sensation of cramp or tightness and a slight feeling of pain when the muscles are stretched or contracted. It also may be referred to as a "pulled hammy".
Grade II
With a grade two hamstring strain there is immediate pain which is more severe than the pain of a grade one injury. It is confirmed by pain on stretch and contraction of the muscle. A grade two hamstring strain is usually sore to touch.

Grade III
A grade three hamstring strain is a catastrophic injury. There is an immediate burning or stabbing pain and the athlete is unable to walk without pain. The muscle is completely torn and there may be a large lump of muscle tissue above a depression where the tear is. After a few days with grade two and three injuries a large bruise may appear below the injury site caused by the bleeding within the tissues.

RE: maybe not......... Can still hope. Players do make quicker recoveries than the initial diagnosis (or is it prognosis?). I reckon the squad can handle is absenc for a month, we just can't afford anymore injuries/suspensions.
