You bought a new, bigger house, and didn't put an astroturf and nets in the back? The only lights you should be wittling about are floodlights. Serves you right. Give the money back, and buy all the kids a Reds replica shirt by way of apology ..... when there's some stock in, obviously.
In North America is just called Turf not astro turf, you are years behind my friend. Take the cash and get your selves to Tim Hortons for coffee and Timbits mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ha bl00dy ha, Fi. Safe to say, footie is now banned at the front of the house - there is green-space for playing footie about 5 minutes' walk from here and we do have some portable nets. So, I went to chat with the Dad, who didn't know about it, and gave him the $50 back. He was apologetic and offered to pay for the light. He was upset that his boy hadn't mentioned it to him. I stated that I didn't want to stop the boys playing out after school, and didn't want to punish one boy, because there were 4 of them who had continued playing despite the warning. I gave him the money back on the basis that I would like the kids to keep playing together, but I hope they have all learned a lesson. Furthermore, (and I guess this is a Canadian thing) his boy and mine are going to shovel the snow off the front of the house (i.e. where they were playing footie) when the snow falls. Payback of sorts.
