That's the main reason I've avoided it. I do need a couple of items that I ran out of a week ago but can't really justify queuing for so long for just two or three things. Apart from wasting my time I'd just feel like a complete Pillock (yes yes, I know)
To be fair I have a medical condition which means I can't be much more than an hour or so away from a loo. I can't spend half an hour queueing to get in and then shuffling round social distancing. I have had to shop late in the Evening when the shops have been stripped out. My nearest Supermarket which is only half a mile away has closed it's toilets to the public which has made it a no go area for me. I have just had to grab what was left and in some cases come out with nothing more than Crisps and Chocolate because the shelves were stripped of the essentials I went in to buy. I did manage to buy some hand soap today after a month of trying, we have been making do with shower gel.
Smaller supermarkets (for example the co-op and the spar in Penistone) are fairly quiet, especially first thing or tea time. Meanwhile the Tesco (200m away) is busy with a 20 minute queue at the quietist times. For most things they're fine (no paint, phones or clothes!). I expect this is true for most smaller supermarkets in close proximity to a superstore.
