This debate played out Saturday night. Having been the last three games that M'Voto started I still say he is least of our worries.
I recall Nyatanga playing at least 2 abysmal balls forward. His distribution is appalling. In fact his whole game on Saturday was.
Not sure how we're able to single out individual players tbh. Dudgeon gets special mention I guess, for his humiliating performance. But other than Bree & Turnbull, they should all be embarrassed. Maybe Hourihane gets some credit, for his second half acrobatic ability. But that's more gymnastics than football, really.
Yup, that's the way I saw it too. It wasn't individual errors like against MK Dons, the whole team capitulated.
Dyson - Spot on. Couldn't agree more. Tyke 80 - How many games did Luke Steele singlehandedly win us/keep us in when he was here? How many has Mvoto won us/kept us in? If the guy didn't have feet pointing east and west he would have scored the absolute sitter he missed in the first half Saturday.
He's got some great qualities, but some shocking faults too. Funny though. I was against the dropping of Jennings, based purely on what you say - we've precious little option out wide. Could understand Lita and Brown being dropped though, and would have done the same myself. Not sure the three lads mentioned being included from the start would have altered much, mind. I've stated on here many times that I see Cranie as a midfielder, but I'm not sure it's working as well as I thought it might. Clean sheet at Fleetwood was a starting point, and am not sure he was at fault for much in the last two games. And, I don't think him at centre half would have altered much Saturday. I agree though, back to basics. Wingers ont wing, centre mids in centre mid, strikers up front etc etc. I thought that Alli lad for MK was way too good for this division. Best I've seen so far. Until Dawson on setdi. Think only two have 'battered us' really. MK and Swindon. Maybe Vale, but I haven't watched that game. MK had a holding midfielder, as did Vale. I find it incredible that, since the end of last season we've failed to recruit a specialist right back. It's ok saying 8 weeks, I get your point on that, but I think it's ******** to buy the idea that we couldn't even loan a young RB until Steele/COG etc left. Me too. Would love to see the "naew, he's not what we need" lads on the list that we've not recruited. Yep. He'll say little using lots of words. He's not daft. Even Oskar Schindler's? I like his face best. Yep. Played very well over a few games, then gets pulled at half time when others were more deserving and he's not been seen since. Bizarre.
