Who cares about mcburnie my comment was Woodrow isn't good enough and hasn't been for this season or last. My opinion is at Barnsley he got his place too easy. Anyone else having bad game after bad game got dropped but not Woodrow
Mine you quoted was about McBurnie and his recent goal scoring record compared to Woodrow ... Still got a better goal scoring record over the last two years playing or not
But mcburnie ( if you want to really say Woodrow is better) does a lot of work all over the pitch. Woodrow doesn't he is a poacher and that is all he has and lately even that isn't working
He was signed for over 20 million to score- you could see from his reaction he had been frustrated. You want your striker in the box to put the ball away - being all over the pitch is something Woodrow was criticised for under Struber and since
Both McBurnie and Woodrow scored for Barnsley. I liked them both as players when they were here. Luton have a glut of strikers by the looks of things so not surprising Woodrow isn't first on the team sheet.
Yes but mcburnie works all over the field he is not a poacher he is more of a provider. So please learn the game not just facts. Nobody is denying your facts or doubting them but i have been watching the reds for 70 years so please give me some respect at my knowledge and accept Woodrow is a luxury he is not a worker
Just açcept it. Luton do have a glut of strikers and Woodrow isn't playing so what does that tell you . It tells me he is worst of the bunch. Simples
He was a luxury. Because he did nothing for last 18 months but we had to keep paying him so if you are paying for nothing it has to be a luxury
Tbf, last season only Collins really came out with any credit. The two most incompetent coaches I can remember in a season, coupled with the weakest midfield.
Not sure why we are still hung up on Cauley but here goes: In our most successful season in many years Val rotated his starting forward line constantly with his only fixture being starting with Woodrow. Val must have seen something all the Woodrow doubter’s didn’t. My opinion (for what it is worth) is that he would rip up L1 this season - hypothetical.
To say Woodrow was not a worker for us is pretty blinkered though. He ran his legs off, yes without many goals. But as we got worse he, for whatever reason dropped deeper and the goals dried up. I’d expect somebody with more than 70 years experience would have at least seen that.
In those 70 years how many strikers scored over 50 goals for Barnsley? I've supported us for 45 years and can think of 1 other player ...
So you love Woodrow get over it he has gone and i think thank god. I can name numerous players before Glavin and co who were great players Tommy taylor. Robledo bros john bettany les lea . Dozens of them that were better than Woodrow. They are gone he is gone. Mcburnie is gone. We want someone new who gives everything for the club
