I hate wawa, dirtyLeeds and blunts equally, closely followed by donny, rovrum , chesterful and Huddsfield, they don't like us all arrogant cnuts fook em all.
What about David Hirst? Burst onto the Oakwell scene and seemingly a Tarn lad through and though....wait a minute, now a SW legend and seems to have disowned his home town, never mentions them and instead fawns over SW. Cheers Dave.
Good call. He could have gone to any first division side and might have been a regular for England but he went to the Wendys. Shame for him really.
Sterland I couldn't stand and Hirst is a good call but Di Canio sums up all that is rotten in the football world so him.
Personally got a lot of time for Terry Curran. He was coaching my lad for over 2 years at L**ds Utd academy a few years ago. Best coaching he's ever had by a country mile and a down to earth bloke.
Here's the thing about Wednesday, they might be "bigger" in that they have a bigger stadium, and more fans, but by that logic Mumbai FC should be one of the most important clubs in the world. Despite all of their inherent advantages they've had the same amount of success as Huddersfield Town and have achieved the square root of **** all since before the war. I'm sure most Wednesday fans don't see us as their biggest rival, but when you get people born and raised in Barnsley supporting them because they get more people through the gate you can see why Barnsley fans despise them. And despite all the years of failure, of underachievement, of delusion they still convince themselves that they're somehow relevant n the footballing food chain and that they're only five years from challenging Barcelona. Beating us probably doesn't mean much to them, but we will always have the last laugh because they will never, EVER live up to their own expectations. They will always be a constant disappointment in the life of your average Wednesday fan. It is absolutely beautiful. And they still aren't as contemptible as their red and white neighbours.
They're annoying. Growing up in Penistone in the late 80s / 90s they were all Wednesday fans and it made my blood boil. Barmy army. We've got Carlton palmer and he smokes marijuana. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. It doesn't even rhyme! You reds.
Carlton always went to Royston, Monk Bretton, and Athersley, when i was a lad..depending which way you were traveling that is ... I didn't know it went to Leicester too....well bugger me.. you learn something new every day....lol
