It would've been Danny Wilson's promotion season

We lost 3-1. And you're right, we ****** all over them.

It was the 'Dave Regis' miss in that game .......

.... wasn't it? and it was 1-1 at the time, then they bobbed 2 in at the ponty end to win it 3-1

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Think it was mate. Remember that they had three attempts all game, all of them went in, and there was nothing Watson could have done about any.

Can Anyone Remember The Bristol Rovers Game

    From about 1991?

Simular to the Grimsby game during the promotion season mentioned above we mullered them for 90mins & they sneaked it 1-0

A Cup tie against Everton in the 60s...

Wolves 3 Barnsley 3 (away from home) Promotion season 96/97

At their place, they went 1-0 up, playing their long ball football, we suddenly started to play the most amazing passing football that was typical of us in the promotion season - 1-3 at half time and it looked like we were going to murder them. Second half they just started putting long balls straight down on top of Watson. We sit back and cave in to long ball football and hold on for 3-3 at full time. We should have murdered them!

Early nineties. Six shots and five of them went in, including a Stancliffe own goal!

Its got to be York 0 Barnsley 1

1978/9 season, fog was so thick you couldn't see past half-way line. We were under the cosh and all the play was at the far end, we broke away and Derek Bell scored, then we never saw the ball again till full-time - just the occasional ghostly figure on half-way. Had to guess what happened by listening to the crowd's oohs and aahs. Brilliant!

Yep, I remember that one. It was during Machins era where we always seemed to struggle to finish off our chances and be a bit too lightweight up front ! Mmmm now why does that sound familiar??

    Watford 4 Barnsley 0

    late '80's, midweek game.

I was working down there at the time and went in the Exec suite with some guys from work who were Watford fans. We were 2 down in first 5 mins, the next 80 mins was end to end, an even game, and then we conceded another 2 in the last 5 mins! The most even 4-0 I've seen!
