You've said similar over and over, so it wasn't out of context, but never mind. If he goes to West Brom, he's going to be on significantly more than here. He'll be at a club that was just in the Premier League and has more resource than we do to try and get back there. I'd suspect all those things make shifting house or a short drive extremely palatable.
Couple of grand a month would get him a decent house etc if he gets paid 10-15k a week that’s pocket change to him wasn’t he house sharing in Yorkshire anyway?
I wouldn't like the short drive of four hours each day. I'd guess there would be more clubs than just us and West brom interested.
Given their "work" day is so incredibly short, 4 hours really isn't anything at all. They'd still be home before a 9 to 5er. But players have long moved closer to their place of work, just as have general society. I've done it multiple times in my career. It's really not a big deal.
Don’t disagree with anything you put there, was just adding context to your comment about we turn managers over more than most. And you’re right it is a basket case of a league, o was surprised to hear it was worse then the PL.
I’d imagine we’ll get the announcement of Mowatt to West Brom and Murphy to Forest tomorrow. I wonder if we’ll have any positivity to slightly counter these bits of news?
Still 4 hours a day minimum just driving on a daily basis regardless of how long your there for i know that from experience. I agree with that I just don't think you would be so keen to move for a manager who held him back when I expect there will be plenty of interest for his signature from similar size teams to West brom. I he enjoyed playing under val and I don't think he thought val held him back he spoke highly of him and if he joins wba val will be one of the deciding factors I think.
I said in my other post... a player is likely wanting to play and to be paid as much as they can get offered. I don't think style will hugely matter. They clearly got on, hence my other comments about who Mowatt would likely prefer playing under. I just thought Mowatt could have been utilised better with the ball to his feet and being a real playmaker. He's got the ability. So given Mowatt was rated by Ismael, he knows what he'd be getting, and he'd be paid significantly more than here and maybe even a nice sweetener of a signing on fee as a free agent, its not a difficult decision at all.
I haven't said he wouldn't but if you had just bought a house in your home town it wouldn't be ideal. And my point was why would you move to play for someone who held your game back so much according to some barnsley fans.
I just hope we don't get off him one of those embarrassing messages to the fans some people do when they change clubs. We don't need to read about how you have happy memories, love the fans, blah blah blah.
Given how his English is I'm sure he means we'll be competitive, l wouldn't hold him to account if we don't finish in the play offs. Some mentalists will, mind.
