Who is there who thought that should have gone ahead and thought ours should be cancelled? Edit I've just checked and only Gordon Owen said the Rotherham game should have been played but also asked if we can cancel our game tomorrow
And Luton - QPR off as well. If we play, then have more positive cases amongst those that celebrated the goal with mowatt, will look very foolish, even if they did return negative results on Wednesday
I've got no scientific basis for my views on this. just common sense. there are hundreds of contact incidents every game. physically impossible to avoid, and people seem to accept that. so for me it seems completely pointless having any kind of rule that says 'you can't hug your team mates after you've scored'. if you want to prevent footballers getting covid, you need to stop football.
Also, I thought Collins was +ve before the Rotherham game, which is why he wasn't on the bench. I could be mistaken.
You're right, there were. I was wrong to say 'everyone', I hadnt seen enough of the thread that Jay has highlighted (his comments, JamDrops etc). But there was a sizeable number elsewhere who said the game should have gone ahead Tuesday.
I suppose you're more likely to pass it to your team mates than the opposition as you are in closer proximity to them. However with all the shirt pulling and touching that goes on , especially with forwards/defenders in the box I suppose there's greater risk , the safest should be the goalie, and ge wears gloves.
According to the EFL protocols match play is not considered as close contact. So they apparently have not been in close contact and can continue as normal. I would beg to differ when they are hugging each other, but what do I know.
I would suggest that any player who had hugged Mowatt been sat next/near to him on the bus chating could now possibly be infected which would suggest will be infected when playing Norwich very strange EFL protocols
I didn't think clubs were allowed to name players with covid due to not releasing personal medical info. Pep said this week he cant declare names but people will know when Man City name the team Sunday.
AFC Wimbledon (@AFCWimbledon) Tweeted: We have received confirmation from the EFL that tomorrow’s game with Lincoln will go ahead. The Club had sought permission to postpone the game following positive tests and self-isolation instructions at both clubs, but were instructed to proceed with the match. #AFCW https://t.co/UnDo1OKTbT EFL pushing more clubs to play.
Yes its strange ain't it. Seems to be a lot of talk of non disclosure on copied but we have seen names named on it and your right injuries. I dont know what the proper protocol is.
