Sure I read the Huddersfield owner is using the Parachute payments to run/pay for the club.
His lack of investment was part of the issue with Cowleys leaving.

If you do a Google search for this guy the only reference you get is back to his Twitter page. Not very good going for a Sky journo.

I’d be surprised if Mowatt moves to a Championship club.
I’m expecting him to move to somewhere like Oxford, Ipswich or Sunderland.
I’d keep him at Barnsley but not as a 1st team choice.
A young play maker from Celtic has been linked with us - so obviously the club realises the need to improve on that pivotal position.
I Would prefer to see a loan player from the Premeir recruited because the play maker position greatly influences how the rest of the team performs.

That last part I’m not sure if you’re saying we’d be signing a playmaker to replace Mowatt? Mowatt doesn’t play at the top of the diamond.

Also, I would pretty much guarantee that Mowatt will be playing in the championship next season. You don’t get player of the year for a championship club and then move down to league 1, unless you’re money motivated.

People will now panic believing a brand new account made this month with 22 followers. I think with captaining a championship club in his local area that Mowatt is the most likely of our assets to stay.

It's beyond me why someone would go to that effort just to propagate one half-arsed rumour. Why?

He’s just on a wind up.

He waited on Mowatt to be played as the holding midfielder & then started saying he wasn’t creating enough even though he’d been one of the most creative midfielders in the league before he got moved to defensive midfield.

He also said Mowatt was too slow but then said Bahre & Halme should start in midfield.

Most of the Hibs fans used to criticise Hecky for playing Mallan. There were people celebrating when he got dropped.

If he isn’t seen as good enough to be a regular starter in the Scottish league in 19/20 I don’t see how he was in the championship when he was a kid in 17/18.

Scowen ended up out of the midfield due to injury & then couldn’t get back in the team due to the form of Hourihane & Brownhill. 2 premier league midfielders. He got back in at right back & then once Brownhill left Scowen was one of the first names on the team sheet all way up to him leaving.

Mowatt was terrible at the time when he first joined us. He wasn’t much better on loan at Oxford. There fans didn’t even want to keep him in league one. He was in & out of their side. If he was struggling to play in league one at that time I don’t think he’d have been much use to us in the championship that season

That’s what it’s supposed to be for. The fact that it’s used to fund new players/excess wages is why the system is f*cked.

It was put in place to enable clubs coming up to recruit and offer competitive wages without risk of going into admin if they were relegated.
Not for him to use to pay for the purchase of the club.

Anyways point I was making was they won’t be offering significantly more than we can.

I know, I know. I usually let his baits go but his constant tirade with Mowatt needs to end. Of course, everyone has their own opinion but he’s easily one of our best players, if not the best, which is the opinion shared by our players too.
