Emailed Barry Sheerman I'm sure he will get involved. We are lucky in Huddersfield to have such a good MP. The guy is never out of local news helping out good causes.

I can assure you that he will do his best to help you.
It's not an MP as such It's a demented old man that lives in an old WWII gun emplacement. He's worshipped by the locals.
Wouldn't hold your breath about Clapham Emailed him a year ago about the Bevin boys getting medals for their service down the mines, and I asked why the same wasn't done for men (like my father) who were already down the mine when war broke out and weren't allowed to leave the mine to join the forces....he just brushed me off on that one!
Sent to Phil Willis: As a member of your constituency I urge you to read and sign Early Day Motion 141 raised by Eric Illsley MP, Barnsley Central on 04.12.08. As you are probably aware, there was a violent act committed during the Barnsley v Sheffield United football match on 08.11.08. The assailant, Chris Morgan of Sheffield Utd, assaulted Iain Hume of Barnsley with his elbow which resulted in Hume being hospitalised with a fractured skull and bleeding to his brain. On the day the referee, unbelievably, felt it warranted only a caution and subsequently the ruling body, the FA, have stated that they cannot alter the decision of the referee and that the case is not "exceptional" enough to warrant further charges. There has been widespread condemnation of this decision. What sort of protection does that afford to players? If there is no punishment to act as a deterrent in this, extreme, case then where does it end? When somebody does die? This sort of challenge has no place in the game, watched by millions, many of whom are minors who emulate the players they watch. The FA need to have pressure put on them to re-evaluate their stance on this very serious piece of foul play and so I call on you, my MP, to support this motion.
FIFA have suspended Peru from the international stage for political involvement All international sporting contact for its clubs, national teams, referees and officials is suspended because FIFA's rules prohibit political interference in football affairs.
RE: FIFA have suspended Peru from the international stage for political involvement Surley FIFA should be stepping in anyway and tell the FA they have got it wrong, the whole system is rubbish if they can suspend a country for braking rules and another country make the rules up as they wish.
RE: FIFA have suspended Peru from the international stage for political involvement Does that mean Liverpool will be banned for the protest the other night? Thought not!
Emailed Jeff Ennis. He let me down on the tuition fees vote a few years back. Let's hope he redeems himself here. Humeeey
Rt Hon Nick Brown emailed Dear Mr Brown As your constituent I would urge you to sign the above motion (link below). http://edmi.parliament.uk/EDMi/EDMDetails.aspx?EDMID=37132&SESSION=899 This refers to an incident in a football league match in which a player, with intent and with no regard to the other player, used his elbow to fell an opponent. Iain Hume, the victim, was hospitalised by the "challenge" which left him with a fractured skull. Hume does not yet know if he will ever play again. The FA have looked at this incident and decided that a yellow card was enough as they can only overturn a referee's decision in exceptional cases (as with Ben Thatcher and Pedro Mendes). Their failure to act in this matter makes a mockery of their Respect campaign and clearly shows a lack of judgement which will continue to place players in risk of serious injury. Without punishment, players like Chris Morgan will continue to play in this manner and could injure, or kill, others. I have no doubt that if this was a game played at a higher level the increased media scrutiny would have led the FA to act in this matter. Kind regards,
RE: FIFA have suspended Peru from the international stage for political involvement FIFA will be the next target via a postcard campaign. We need to get them to ask the FA to review the case.
