thanks for posting sadbrewer. I've signed and fwd on to my what's app contacts. Great to see how the signatures have gathered pace the last few days.
Me too, can't help thinking some of them, possibly including her should have a dollop of porridge. Doing an act with a tendancy to pervert the course of justice.
Whiskey on this subject, if anyone wants to watch something similar afterwards, try watching ‘Estonia’ on the Discovery Channel. Came out in 2020. Unbelievable stuff, and still going on today. Can understand why folk think it’s a cover-up. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-54338170
Signed. What gets me is that Ms Vennells is a Christian and had to be asked by her bishop to stop acting as a lay preacher. What sort of Christian stitches up innocent people ? She needs to be behind bars. However, we all know that will not happen.
The 162 countries that sit below us on the corruption perceptions index might. But it is appalling. They should automatically overturn any convictions that relied on evidence from the Horizon system, withdraw Paula Vennells OBE and investigate the staff who contributed to the scandal when they knew the system was flawed and did nothing about it . And make sure the compensation paid is tax free.
I wonder if any action has been taken against Fujitsu? The Post Office were bad enough but their partners in crime seem to have completely got away with it.
Have signed the petition, just watched this and makes me so angry and so sad. We have government ministers ‘forgetting’ to declare tax, doing dodgy deals for millions and these people were blamed for something they were innocent of. The whole country is broken and needs fixing.
As a former software developer with 30 years experience, I have never come across a system completely free of bugs, so why there wasn't a thorough review of the code after so many incidents is beyond me.
The publication Computer Weekly were onto the scandal fairly early on https://www.computerweekly.com/feat...han 20 years, scandal has become headline news.
After all the injustice I think it's time for King Charles to stand up and correct the wrongs. At the time it was his mother the Queen who actually prosecuted the post office employees. She was the head of the post office and legal system at the time otherwise what's the point in having a head of state.
Hey funnily enough, the bloke who starred in this... I've just been thinking about him (in another thread) starring in The Detectorists.
