    Just watched the real story behind the series.

    Wow, they got their actors spot on. I guessed who all the people were before their names came on screen.

    For them to get such great actors who are good matches for the parts is amazing.

    Royal Mail was privatised. Post Office Limited is a separate company and is very much still government owned.

    I stand corrected. I wondered why the tax payer was footing the bill.
    Also, in this case, there should be no further delay in paying proper compensation. And those responsible should be sent to gaol.

    Yes the crown emblem showed up on the letter telling them of their dismissal , then they were summoned to crown court so they had to lose the case.

    The amount of compensation owed is more than the total value of the Post Office Ltd. It needs government help to pay it - and it absolutely should.

    I'm not usually an emotional type but watching this series, there were several time when I was close to tears. Tonight I watched the documentary which followed it and had it all again only this time I also felt way more anger at the way that Paula Vennells and her minions seem to have completely got away it. At the end when it said that she still has her CBE while Alan Bates refused an OBE my anger meter reached 11.

    Well I’ve just watched the first episode and I feel like kicking the ******* tele in!!! To reduce good honest folk to tears desperation and prison is inexcusable……..senior figures at the post office and within the government need to hang there heads in shame and be stripped of any titles and ALL money taken when innocent people lost there savings and dignity
