By "the view" do you mean from the top of the table looking down?

I do not think Wilson's position should at all be questioned - he needs the whole of this season to have us see his efforts plainly laid out.

It ought to be added that Flitcroft was not afforded this luxury, despite having performed a miracle to keep us up the season before. In a higher league.

At Xmas if we're bottom 6 does Wilson go? No he should not.

Anyway, Flitcroft's team stands top of the league he is in at present. Where were they when he took over?

Why he is not afforded significant respect on here is beyond me. If you were looking at a decent young manager to replace a failing Oakwell one, where would you look? Top of league 2? Anyway........

Something may yet happen to us that shows we are on the right track.

So far we appear to be avoiding rock bottom by virtue of Hourihane's numerous wonder strikes.

    Onwards and upwards.

would any other manager still be getting so much support from the fans, with us just 1 point from League 1 relegation zone? would any other manager have been kept on, after getting us relegated?

For me its the manner in which we are dropping points.
If we were putting the effort in and getting the basics right then i would be a lot calmer about things.

I wasn't keen on Danny coming back as manager as I felt this might happen. People being more patient with him due to his previous success with us. However, I now feel it is a good thing, just to have that consistency of the same manager. Rather than constantly changing every 10 months and giving another guy the chance to 'build', only to do the same to him after a string of bad results. I think Danny can and will turn this around. We don't need to start the process again with a new manager.

No, but that is (I believe) not the point.

The point is whether there has been, or will be, something positive to cling on to that the fans can see will bring us a degree of success (in our terms).

Some say they have seen it already. I haven't (but what do I know?). Yet it may come.

The table however never lies at the end of the season.

i still support that position archey. but it's currently more hope than expectation, and i'm not so quick to automatically jump to wilson's defence any more.
