Other than Paul Reids limp challenge , what was different about the Plymouth goal and the Coventry goal that Colgan got hammered for?
No I wouldn't. However, Colgan is unreliable and shits himself most of the time, i.e when the dee dahs and sunderland brought 8,000 to us, he looked very nervous and conceded 2 appualing goals, and lets say they wern't the only clangers he dropped last season were they?
Too far out for him? How is his six yard box too far out for him? If Colgan had have let that in people would have had a go for him not coming off his line.
Everybody is prepared to give time to all the players we have signed, however what fans wont take is being told that what we have got is a lot better than what its replaced when quite clearly results and performances are to the contrary.
Still at least Nudgey looks like being correct with us being at the wrong end of the table after 6 games.
I hope he is right and the team suddenly gel and we rocket up the league.

Personally i believe Colgan got singled out for stick when he did little wrong. What people seem to regard as soft goals for Nick are the same shots Muller had no chance with. From what ive seen so far (which isnt much of Muller) Muller is more commanding in his area (should be seeing as he is 6ft 6) but doesnt appear to get down to the floor for shots like Nick does. I dont think Nick should have been blamed for any of the four goals vs Cov. He got singled out by Davey and so far its shown that the problem really lies on the lack of organisation at the back. This Davey has yet to improve. As for the goals Muller has let in i think most have not been his fault but after rewatching again and again i do believe that one at the near post vs Plymouth he could have done much better with. Personally all this argument over the keepers doesnt improve matters. We've two decent keepers who are hopefully going to stay and fight for the place. Competition always improves keepers. But most of all the best signing we could make is a defensive coach.
RE: Personally i believe he gets the ball out of his box on attack then Colgan would of waited to they marked them
It works well if you have the right players (we dont), are playing against an opposition that are weak in the areas of the field that it takes advantage of and only use it occasionally. Unfortunatly it would seem that davey was forced into using it to accomodate Reid and because we didn't do too bad with it first time he now thinks its the best formation ever. Teams that know you are going to play with wingbacks just adapt their tactics to hit you where you are exposed and when that happens you aren't getting anything from the game.
I wouldn't blame Muller for Owens goal as a lot of Gk's wouldn't have got down to it but bizzarely I think Colgan probably would. Can't take away the fact he was a top shot stopper.
It was played along the floor, unless it actually goes across the keeper I wouldnt expect any keeper to be able to get to the ball, therefore it's the defenders job to clear.
