I take that back, however

My main gripe was the "heralds of cheque book football" comment. They might have spent money on the players you've mentioned, but thats in the last 3 years, and only keeps them in line with teams spending equally as much money. When Ferguson's success started the team was built around 'Fergie's Fledglings', not multi million pound signings.

Wes Brown, Gary Neville, John O Shea, Paul Scholes . . . . . . . are they not first team players? Darren Fletcher plays quite regularly too. Oh and Ben Foster will be their number one keeper next season.

(I thought they signed Ronaldo for 11.9 million?)

I'm livid having read both those posts

I've lived here for the last twenty years and feel this is home - even though I love Barnsley. The one from Chris sickened me last night - I was here when the disaster happened and it was awful - everyone seemed to know someone who was involved. i went to the first game back against Forest and it was an emotional evening. It wasn't just Liverpol fans that suffered that day as football fans we all felt affected. Will never forget walking away from Oakwell that day and here the death toll rise as we walked away - people were huddled around radios and there was complete silence! I would gladly pay for Chris to come here and sing that in Williamson square and see the reaction it gets- so easy to type these things at a keyboard. Maybe you both have ditties for Bradford , Heysel etc

I find it hard to comprehend the Munich disaster having not been born but I've visited Tommy Taylor's grave in Monk Bretton and it was a very moving experience - i didn't realise there were others from Barnsley involved .

I hope both of these receive long bans and no I'm not part of the PC brigade as some said yesterday but a human being who can't understand why people take pleasure in mocking others tragic deaths!

You my friend, are, by an absolute country mile

The most uneducated tw@t I have ever witnessed post on this board. When someone next gives you a good shoe in, remind me not to care because I wasn't around at the time.

And yes, I did include Poet when I typed this message. (joking)

Over £12 million mate, but not a lot over.

Ronaldo became Manchester United's first-ever Portuguese player when he signed for £12.24 million after the 2002–03 season.

    What a stupid argument.

If your family had died in a car crash it wouldn't have got the same publicity as a major air disaster.

Car crashes happen everyday, unfortunately, and only get made into big news when someone like Luke McCormack is involved.

I wasn't around for the Munich air disaster either, but I certainly wouldn't mock the dead. I doubt their families would appreciate your comments about their loved ones.

I don't know whether you're on a wind up or you're actually being serious, but you've certainly gone too far.

If your mum and dad had been killed in a crash, I am SURE that EVERYONE would have sympathy

with you and not be derogatory about it.
If you think otherwise , then I think its time you started to think about other things in your liferather than just being a pillock. The world still goes on , but it costs nothing to care and be respectful.

They have spent over the odds throughout mate since the busby babes and beyond

look at the Busby Babes the poor souls who perished, how many were actually through their ranks....not many. They blew away other teams even then to get their own way. Our own team could not resist the fat carrot they dangled for our lad.

But that takes a degree of maturity. Its when you possess the maturity of a small child that nothing matters outside of your little world.
