why sorry - I can think of a lot worse Id hate to be stuck with only one band but if I was I'd probably go for Bowie ( though not technically a band) otherwise Id go with Nightwish
Bowie is a good shout - a large back-catalog with lots of variety. I'd probably go Neil Young myself for a similar reason. You've got country, you've got rock, you've got grunge, you've got hundreds of great songs.
Cardiacs. I say this because that's pretty much what I have been doing this year, going through every song in their back catalogue. Prog, punk, pop, rock, classical, musical hall, children's nursery rhymes. Most people will hate them but I find them fascinating.
The one I listen to more than any other would be Cyndi lauper. The only one I have the entire Album collection. Including Blue Angel (Her original band) that I purchased from America. Got to admit only one I dont like, (a bit rock n roll) Closely followed by. The Carpenters U2 Greenday Billy Joel. Graham Oliver's (saxon) Army. Journey. But being a fan of Don't stop believing initially. I got sick and tired of hearing it. Every clubband in the 90's / 2000s Played it. Then it was on every time I put the radio on. Fekkin hate it now. So like others I'd rather go without music for a year as I'd become sick of hearing one Artiste/band.
With both Genesis and Bowie I think there's a cut off point. Thus far but no further. I'd call stumps on Genesis after Wind and Wuthering, and Bowie after Scary Monsters. Blackstar might leak in, just about.
