For those who've not seen it (it's only been shown 3 times) the drama documentary Threads is being aired in October. I vividly remember watching it in 1984 and being scared shtless. https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...c-tv-drama-40-years-on-mick-jackson-interview
I've seen the bloody thing 4 times. Once when it was fist aired. Once when it was repeated the year after. And twice in school. And we had to write essays on it. And they made us watch The Day After. And When the Wind Blows. Someone bought me the graphic novel of When the Wind Blows FFS. As a gift. Because they reckoned they liked me. If you're in your early to mid 50s and you spend most of your days hiding behind the sofa, hugging yourself and shaking, I'm not surprised.
Don't know Ian, the article doesn't say. I would assume that it'll be on the iPlayer a week or two before it airs.
Horrible film. Weird how they're showing it just as there's been whispers about Putin firing a bloody missile
Starring the Normy lad Reece Dinsdale. Before he did Home to roost with John Thaw, and that horrible mullet hair lol.
There was a film crew trying to find out who he was last year - for a documentary on the film. Apparently he was uncredited...
I know, I managed to put them on to him and he was interviewerd by the film crew, BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Look North earlier this year. He's 83 now and loved the attention.
