Similarly Matty Appleby. He was terrific in the sweeper role in the promotion season but was prone to dropping at least one bollock per game. Luckily, we were brilliant so it never really mattered. Unfortunately we're not now, so it does.

Presumably picked to offer some aerial opposition to Kieffer Moore and he certainly nullified that threat. Job done. I like Big Jean and for me he more than earned his wages today.

Agree to an extent. In fact, the only thing stopping me agreeing completely is the airshot that let their striker in, which should have cost us a goal.

That aside, he was commanding and never looked troubled.

He was fantastic at heading the ball from Yeovil goal kicks. Unfortunately there's more to defending than that.

Been completely unaware of what's around you & swinging your boot at the ball & kicking straight through a Yeovil player a yard or two outside our own box was ridiculously bad & he was very lucky not to be booked.

Then 5 minutes later he was very late into a tackle on the edge of our box & got a deserved booking.

He was very fortunate that the first foul was so early in the game & the red let it go because he should've been sent off at this point to be honest.

    Two clear bookings.

He then went to clear a ball & sliced it to their lad clean through. Luckily nothing came of it.

He's incredibly bad at anything other than winning headers. His positioning is terrible, he constantly plays balls to full backs behind them & it kills their momentum & he drops a couple of clangers every game.

Considering we've got Ramage, Cranie & Nyatanga ahead of him & young Holgate looked better than him at centre back & we've also got young Cowgill coming through he'd be one of the first names out of the door along with Hemmings, Lita & Brown

I was talking about this with my Dad & you know when you're watching a boxing fight & you're cheering for a lad who's a bit chinny like Amir Khan & you get that nervous feeling every time he gets hit, well I get the exact same feeling whenever the ball goes near M'Voto's feet, it's edge of the seat stuff for all the wrong reasons

    What goal is this?
    Wasn`t it nil today?
How many games and time on the pitch has he had this season and which goals where down to him?
How many goals have we conceded this season with the chosen ones?
Don't other defenders make costly mistakes?

Personally think we havea lad there that comes in and gives his all, yes he has a mistake in him, but am yet to ever see a player put on a reds shirt and not make mistakes. I`ve said before and will say again he wouldn`t be my first choice but he is a good squad player to have. Time folks let up a bit on him cos you`ve only got 3/4 months to put up with him and most of that he wont get selected.

He's very good when the ball is in the air and he's battling with someone who doesn't offer any movement.

However, he's absolutely f.cking gash at every other aspect of association football. That gash that he's absolutely brilliant and I love him.

Taking that context, he looks like he will knock his opponent out every time the ball comes in the air........ Oh hang on he did.

His job today was to nullify the big centre forward which he did well. I don't think it was expected that he would have to support a very young inexperienced back 4 for 60 minutes. They all did well but if we are criticising him for his passing and distribution then surely we will be calling Smith the same on last two performances.

Apart from his clanger he had a good game . Great in the air . Holgate was diff class at centre back

At the end of the day he should've been sent off in the first 10 minutes, he played there lad through with a shocking attempt at a clearance & he looked less composed than Holgate making his 6th or 7th start & Williams making his first league start.

There's nothing wrong with his heading, he's quality at that. He'd be world class if that's all there was to be a defender.

Smith wasn't great on the ball but I felt he did his defensive duties well

But I could list the errors from smith equally well. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Mvoto was first class but did a job ok. Smith did a job ok too. What I'm saying is the extremes between various players irrespective of age weren't that great.

That's well put. People like him because he's tall and big. Anything that's not in the air I worry for us. He's slow, sloppy and costs us too many times. Hopefully he's gone in the summer unless someone is daft enough to take him off us this month.

Same as always, looks like a rock at times and does 8 things out of 10 really well. Was hilarious when he just bounced off there big striker and he was out for the count and looked like he had been in a boxing match! Like I said when we signed him, he's good for 80% of the time, but he always has 1 or 2 major **** ups in him every game. Yesterday we was lucky it didn't cost us, but most of the time it does!! It is embarrassing watching him at times and the way he slices the ball you wonder how on earth he's being paid as a pro footballer....but then now and again he picks out some really good passes, although sometimes he is far to calm on the ball and scares me!!
