Yeah catnip is ace and you actually witness the cat coming down afterwards! Cats are ace far more personality than dogs, you dont own a cat they own you.
Here, here mate, spot on, nail on the head and all hat. Some blokes think it's 'manly' to hate cats but again they are insecure and don't know what they are missing. PS - Never fail to laugh when I see your cat logo on your postings!!
The pecking order is generally soon established As ES says, they tend to establish their own pecking order quite quickly so after some initial squabbles it should be OK. The only time this didn't work for us was when we tried to introduce a cat who was used to being boss but wasn't any more and who wouldn't show due deference to the elder of the household. Introducing younger cats should be OK I think as long as they don't get ideas above their station.
Ady, I never used to be a cat person either. My mate badgered me for weeks into having Rosie. I relented and that was 9 years ago. Whilst I find her extremely comical, hard to fathom at times, and a damn right pain in the arse at others, I love her to bits. Still think dogs have more personality tho'. Oh, and there is nothing sweeter than seeing both the dog and cat cuddled up together in the same bed

Great pictures. We used to have a dog and cat when I was a kid, they got on great, once when someone let his dog off the lead to have a go at our cat that was in the garden, my dad let the dog out, it was quite a sight to see our dog and cat chasing the dog off down the street!
