In my opinion, the version of Wishbone Ash fronted by Andy Powell has become indiciplined and has lost the sound that was so original (twin lead guitars). They do not play their old pieces truely to the original sound. However, I saw Martin Turner's version of Wishbone Ash when they played for the Classic Rock Society in Rotherham in November and they were great. It was just like going back to the 70s. Relations between Andy and Martin do not seem to good. In an article for Rock Society (the CRS magazine), Martin was a little critical of what Andy was doing and that had forced him to form his own version of WA.

Thanx for that Red, I must admit I go to watch Andys lot whenever they are about, and your right with your comments on the twin guitar thing. However I still enjoy listening. I missed Martins lot, didnt want to go thought I may be dissapointed

    QUO live

I remember whenI was in my teens walking up the street and hearing it for the first time belting out of my mates front room window whilst his mam and dad were out. I was a long time bitten.
