Surely if you've put it thru the wash you can take the remains of the book to the club to prove that it is completely useless and they should issue a replacement? Can understand it with loss though, until the club gets those barcode scanned turnstiles there is little they can do to eliminate fraud at the turnstile.
RE: Obviously for some people they are easy to lose Not sure what's "self righteous" about saying you've not lost something - I must misplace things more often! Read the conditions in the booklet, even in last years one it says that the club do not accept responsibility for lost or stolen booklets, and also that it remains the property of the club and they can withdraw it at any time. The issue with damaged ones is different as if you can produced the one put in the washer then they should be able to issue a replacement for an admin fee.
erm, whats your point? If I lose my passport then I pay the cost of having the passport replaced, I don't have to become a UK citizen again.
Photo ID in ticket, barcode style turnstyles, lists of stolen tickets in turnstyles, better trained turnstyle operators who ensure that the ticket is ripped out in front of them, a different coloured front ticket (the one with personal details on) for every 3 months of the season which would mean stolen tickets could only possibly be of any use to someone for a maximum of around 8 games severely impacting the resale value. If the club thinks hard enough it can find ways to prevent the problem but like with everything else, it depends on how much effort they are willing to put in.
RE: erm, whats your point? My point though is that you pay the full price, you don't get a replacement for a small admin fee
and, like with everything else, the amount of effort they are willing to put in is ZILCH.
Because they don't give a **** about their customers.

It's thee that's talking twaddle, thicko. As usual. If it aint Dentistry or computers, don't ask our kid, 'cos he knows Jack **** about it. FACT.
