The girls said one comment and did hand gestures and they got arrested. So how is it fair our own fans with the foul and abusive language all match and inciting home fans should get away with much worse ? All i'm saying is i hope you have reported some of our fans too so you cannot be accused of being biased. And you cannot expect to take a kid to any football match (much less a derby) and not hear loads of swearing. Grief.

they never got chance to be booed, they walked straight out of

the tunnel and shouted F*uck off Barnsley immediatly,
all this grow up and ignore it talk is crap, they could have sparked off trouble, what they did was wrong,
and by he way, i do agree it has got them undeserved publicity, although they were seriously ***** so dont see how it can help them

I think you'll find in the <span style="font-style: italic;">'Ladybird book of swearing', </span>&quot;w@nker&quot; has a much lower severity rating than &quot;f*** off&quot; or the raised finger gestures.

Also, &quot;no smoke without fire&quot;. Good saying that. Unless its somehow un-PC these days...

RE: So Let Me Get This Right........

'Two 17 yearold girls wish to make a name for themselves in the industry'

    Hark at Simon Cowell. lmao.

At the end of the day, if you take a job playing half time entertainment at a derby game between Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday you can expect a certain amount stick from the away crowd (especially if you're a Sheffield act). They should've been well prepared for a bit off booing. A professional act would have shown a bit of respectability and ignored it. They did the worst thing they possibly could.

In terms of the law, it is very difficult to say, beyond all reasonable doubt, who, in a crowd of 6,000 people, was booing, or chanting obscenities - but when two stupid girls gets on a PA system and starting f'ing and blinding, and using abusive hand gestures... they're pretty much up **** creek (beyond all reasonable doubt). Not to prosecute them would be to excuse them and set an unhealthy precedent for the acceptable tone of half time entertainment - football is a family game and what they did was unexcusable.

You can expect to go to a football match and expect not to hear the half time entertainment swearing

...it's a bit different. The person who is entertaining at half time should be respectable and safe for kids. No you can't stop the crowd from chanting - but you can explain that to a child. How can you explain away the half time entertainment? You shouldn't have to.

Personally, I think it might have been even more entertaining if they had done a "Barton"!

Would the ******* chants have happened if they hadn't sworn at us?

    What they did was incitement.

Pair of ignorant kids who, like so many these days, haven't been brought up to know right from wrong. They need to learn - and quick. They could have caused a riot.

What one year older big deal. I don't think they are anything special to look at. I am just looking at both sides because people are talking like our fans were angels through all this.

how was it gonna cause a riot?

if people can't handle 17yr old lasses swearing in general at 7000 fans and a few hand gestures then there is summat seriously wrong with them

    They've got their publicity

can't fail to work in their favour, they'll be stars in Sheffield.

And the number of people complaining about them swearing - yes I guess the majority of them never swear, particularly if they were getting constantly heckled whilst trying to work.

    RE: "Family game"

there's a difference between people in the crowd shouting obscenities and the half time 'entertainment' joining in. Surely you can see that?

RE: Leave em dreamboy - they're too old for you

Our fans were a football crowd, and behaved well within the acceptable boundaries of behaviour for a football crowd, they were the half time entertainment, and well, they went well beyond the boundaries of professional conduct.

Nobody is saying that our fans are angels - they're a football crowd in a derby game, away from home. It's a lot more startling when two people controlling the PA system use it to direct abuse, and it's a lot less acceptable.

    my missuses response..

In my missuses opinion the police are constantly videoing the crowd for trouble and racist/abusive behaviour.
so it is only right that these two are treat in the same way.
she was genuinely horrified, yes we hear swearing in the crowd but as "proffesionals" these two have to act better.
She had her young son with her and he knows to ignore the behaviour of certain elements but when the the bad element is or could be someone to look up to then it is different.
I agree with her and her decision
