What many Barnsley fans still dont seem to understand is that you have to...........................

...................give them a crack before they give you one :D

But to be reight, all these people that dont understand violence at football matches.......just dont understand football matches or how some fans think.
If people dont think violence is part of the football scene anymore - then why do we have away fans in away areas of the ground ? That is to say, why dont we just let fans go in any part of the ground.
Violence has been going on for decades and it will continue for decades.
BUT THIS IS THE IMPORTANT POINT - some Barnsley fans are so so naive they need to really understand that some of the opposing fans are out there specifically to have a go at them.
And these opposing fans cannot be identified on how they look. You are as likely to get a crack from a well dressed middle aged bloke than you are from a young chav.

I never wear colours to ANY match and I avoid talking to opposing supporters

Seems a sad state of affairs to me that fans can't/ shouldnt wear club colours to game...what a dreary place the inside of a football ground would be....wall to wall stone island, you wouldnt know who was who!

I reckon the majority of fans from all clubs enjoy the banner between fans in the ground but would happily have a drink with opposing fans before and after......we certianly have at places like west ham, liverpool and even cardif without incident and we usually go in a mixed group of blokes between 20 and 40. (Perhaps not Millwall, fair do's)

The Stone Island and Burberry gave it away ha ha. Luckily I didn't see no bother and we had to walk past enough pubs to get to the car up by Hillsboro Snooker Centre.

One lad tried knocking me over

but to be fair he did a **** job cos I'm only small and he still didn't manage it.

I wasn't even wearing any colours, think it might have been the massive grin on my face that gave me away though :)

I think I'm right in saying 'Harrow' got punched at an away game while in colours, so he's more than qualified to comment. Port Vale wasn't it? Or have I got the wrong person?

I only wear colours if I've gone on a coach to an away game - safety in numbers + likelihood of an escort, and all that. Have never and would never wear colours if I'm on public transport.

things like this makes me sick. I heard abaout the incident earlier and just the thought that this could happen to anyone even them who are not looking for trouble I am deeply saddened by this act of cowardly and disgustuting behaviour. we were the better team and they can not take it .

    I HATE DEEDARS!!!!!

Memories of Old Trafford in the FA Cup

Walking along Traffod Way or some such and a Barnsley Bus pulls up I show my Brazil top and cheer in recognition and some survivor from a head swap operation on the coach is clawing to get out to tw*t me, thinking I'm Man U........I think if that bus had been driven into the Manchester/Liverpool canal the world would be a better place, no offence.

I have friends who've been to Oakwell as scarf waring away fans who've had kids trying to "offer em Aaaaaart", etc.

Remember Notts County away, Barnsley "fans" walking up to random folk trying to fight 'em, looked like absolute and utter t*ts, end of.

Every clubs got em, and I'd say we have a high %.
