Food and drink at Oakwell........ Bit off topic of the thread - But with regards to your comments about food and drink at Oakwell - Big changes are expected next season. The club is currently browsing for catering companies to become the new food outlet organisers for next season. When we played Brighton they had a meeting with their catering providers - Which was very good in my opinion but our old(ish) faciliteis may play a big part in who will be interested....... But i think the club are perfectly aware that the snap on offer at Oakwell is now not upto scratch.....
Re: This is the MOST interesting time at the club for years !!!.........we now have H Yep - And Wilson.
You could tell it was Digby's first game Hemsy mate. He looked very nervous and dare i even say out of his depth. Just like most teenagers his age would. Not a slight on him at all but i think he was put in a little early.....
I'm only going off what the players and Keith Hill said BrianPotter. Digby was/ still is 16 i think so he's got 5 years to make it to first team. He's a leader on the pitch too. I've heard the players say a lot of very good things about him. He's earn't respect off the senior players which is very good.
make your mind up hemmsy, saying digby has 5 years to get to the 1st team yet you're talking like all the juniors are good enough to be in there now. They're not.
Not one Barnsley born player is close to being a first team regular. We couldn't be further away from the dream of Patrick Cryne to one day have 11 in the starting 11. Instead of giving one of them a chance we brought in a trouble causer from Newcastle. Surely one of our young players would have offered more to us than the pointless loan of Cameron Park? I'm not alone in being sick of hearing that they have to be bedded in slowly.
Re: Food and drink at Oakwell........ My cousin who went to watch Huddersfield Town at Emirates in the cup last season said the away end was selling champagne and Chinese food. Now I wouldn't expect that at Oakwell but it would be nice to be able to get reasonably priced simple food like you get at Greggs.
Nobody that's the point. Hill doesn't want to rush the young uns and wants to bed them in slowly. OK fair enough but it's a bit too slow when they can't even get on the bench and we bring in useless loanees from other clubs to take a chance we could give to one of our own.
Orsenkaht, where were you during our 4 game winning run? And tbh pal, your OP could be referring to EVERY club in our division. And as already pointed out, it is up to YOU and YOU alone whether to attend. If you cant back the club at its peak level - which we are at - then I take it you wouldnt even dream of attending if we drop thru the leagues...
Dream boy, surely getting games under them and performing week in week out is better than them sitting on a coach for 5 hours and not getting a min on the pitch. They have all been away with first team, some went to spain with them.
